I've got some ?s.

Is driving under that influence different than just drinking? Is it worse when they are combined? How long would you have to wait for that to wear off? Anybody think differently of him now that that's out there?

To pick up his dry cleaning? Yes.

Yes...just drinking means you're not in a car (usually)

Spaulding wrote:

Yes. Because of the effects of alcohol on motor skills, you can be a hazard on the road if you've had a lot to drink. We've all done it, but that doesn't mean it's right.

Spaulding wrote:

Depends on the amount and what it was you've consumed. Your personal body type and tolerance to consumption also comes into play. A basic rule of thumb is one hour per drink.

Spaulding wrote:

No. I've always thought that Harry was an over privileged, talentless, elitist fuck.

I seriously don't think I have ever listened to him once on the radio ever.

I personally think that Harry pissed off the cops trying to bigtime them with the "Call the mayor!" and the "I work for Disney... you can't do this!" lines... keep in mind this is only what's gotten out... I'm sure that there was even more to this.

Long story short, the guy obviously pissed off the wrong person and this 2nd round of the story very well might cost him his job.... from all i've heard, it couldn't have happened to a better guy!

oh, and btw, the battles with multiple people vs the poster of the year makes this thread the gift that keeps giving. en garde, everyone!

Yes it is. Harry showed utter disregard for his and anyone else's safety. He knew he had too many, as always, and then decided to light one up. Harry is a fool, and a danger to everyone else. He decided he could drive even though he obviously went out drinking after the game. Heck, he was coming from Wrigleyville after midnight and as far as I know, the Blackhawks don't play in Wrigleyville and the game ended far before midnight.
He should be fired, have his license taken away and sent to rehab. We all know this isn't the first time he did this, heck, he does it almost everyday.

IMO

Driving after smoking is usually ok (or as ok as possible for our purposes here)

Its probably similiar to driving after like 4 beers or whatever it takes to feel a slight buzz

But to combine the two and drive is extremely dangerous.

My buddy, who's in law enforcement, said it's pretty standard that the reason for arrest is released pretty much immediately, and then the complete police report, with incidental comments regarding the arrest are available to the public several days later.

Again, there is no way a drunk AND stoned Harry didn't stop for fast food along the way home. I'm guessing he hit the White Castle at Addison and Elston. It's a right in, right out with good drive through service and the Castle is always an attraction for drunks.

I don't even like to ever combine the two substances because it will sometimes end up with me blowing chunks at the end of the night.

Drinking + Smoking = BAD IDEA
(especially if you are driving).

what is he up to these days?

As much as I disliked his work, I miss his presence in the industry. He was a fun nemesis.

Nope, can't agree with this one.
I never though of Tiny as a bad guy, but his presence on the radio was infuriating. He just wasn't funny and despite not being funny.....his attempts never ceased. Awful.

I hated Tiny back in the day, but I would love to have him back as the foil in a 3 man booth.

Grid's kid.

IB is probably 10 inches shorter than that.

He does bear a resemblance, and I kinda figured it was. The moniker IB just came to mind out of the blue.
