There has to be a belief that Jurk will stay. Otherwise it makes no sense to sign Carm again.

It makes all the sense in the world. Carmen, Silvy and Waddle will be doing the afternoon drive.

They will run middays from the mother nipple rather than get trounced by Mac, Jurko and Spiegel.

Other than the afternoon show, the entire ESPN 1000 package will be national except for a brief smattering of Hood, Fred and Levine from time to time.

I did think about them adding Carmen to the afternoon, but it would be stupid to do it in the summer and have another lineup shuffle.

Face it pal, Jurko is gonna stay with ESPN.

Once Jurko's contract is up, he'll be back on the former Afternoon Saloon w/ his ol' pal Silvy & the (possibly) soon to be departed "Little" Tommy Waddle.

BTW, since MJH was the "Afternoon Saloon", will Waddle & Silvy name their show "The Afternoon Sundae Bar"?

Carmen has become a member of the Chicago Media Nothings Club. Guys who just kind of exist in this city taking up sports media jobs till an apocalypse wipes them from the planet (thought I doubt even Armageddeon could eradicate the human cockroach that is Lou Canellis). They are robotic, lack original thought, and jock sniff all the athletes. Dave Kaplan is their leader.

Carmen torched Rose when the USA Today story about him possibly not playing came out.

He's a good show driver.

Carmen is good... but that's all he is. He really doesn't bring much to the table. He's similar to what Opie is for Opie and Anthony (they even have a similar voice). No real substance or good content but he'll keep the flow going.
