I think players are loosening their chinstraps to amuse Harry.

Personally, I believe facemasks are a good safety feature, as evidenced here:

Shockey's the kind of guy you hate when he's on the opposition, but you'd love him if he played for your team.

He's the Dennis Rodman of the NFL.

The thing about today's tight ends that blows me away is that in this 'pass happy' NFL, they still couldn't carry the jock strap of one Michael Keller Ditka, who in his ROOKIE season, in 14 games, put up these numbers:

1961: 14 games: 56 catches for 1,076 yards, 19.2 yard average, 12 TDs

Not to mention all the defensive players he steamrolled while blocking for the RBs.

Unfortunately, most of today's football fans think of this when they think of Ditka:

During the bowl game last night someone sacked the QB with no helmet also. It seems like the football leagues should be worried about this, but they don't seem to be. You can't breath on the QB once he releases the ball, but everyone else can play with no helmet. I would hate to see something ugly happen for this to become a concern.
