The only show worth tuning into out of this mess is DLB, and with getting an hour cut, and with the contract ending soon (I think), it looks like that show will be gone soon. DLB will then take the show via the Dan Patrick route, I reckon.

I’ll say it again: out of the rest, the only good radio host ESPN has is Freddie Coleman, and he is stuck on late night. Maybe he likes that slot, but he deserves better. Unfortunately, he is also saddled with Ian Fitzsimmons, who can barely put a coherent sentence together on his best day.

Trey Wingo is reportedly out at ESPN. Wingo, who hosted the NFL draft and appeared on “NFL Live,” has been let go by the network, according to the New York Post.

Wingo, 56, began his career with ESPN in 1997. Wingo most recently co-headlined “Golic & Wingo” on ESPN radio, but asked off the show due to its early hours. Wingo’s co-host, Mike Golic Jr., will move on to host a new ESPN show.

I don't recall hearing or reading anything about Wingo asking to be taken off the show.

I read some interview with Golic and he also said Wingo wasn't liking the early morning shift and that lifestyle and was looking to leave. Whether he actually asked or not, I don't know, but that seems to be the way they are explaining it.
