anyone else hear him getting all riled up? Much more entertaining than the normally bland show.

Turned it on at 5:30 and they were having a discussion about whether Greenberg wears makeup when he goes out for a night on the town.

So I turned it off and never went back. What got Golic riled up? Were they not able to track down Bill Curry today?

Will anybody be surprised when this guy comes out of the closet?

The lame controversey over Manny saying its not the end of the world if the Rex Sox lose the ALCS(which is true) and Golic defending him by saying its not his job to care, its basically his job to make money. Then it evolved into the discussion of sports as a business, and Greeny made the good point that its the only business in the world that the consumers of it(us), actually expect the business to prioritize winning over making money, when in reality alot of these guys really do care about winning, but also they look at it as their job and their living. Golic also made the point that its stupid to act like these guys are just lucky as hell to be there, its a combo of that and all the hard work they have put in the their entire lives.

And a big thank you for getting Wade Boggs take on this too! This snorefest was packed full of non-cohesive analogies and cliches with a few senility foreshadowing tangents about how he'd rather have a guy hit .220 in the regular season and then hit .480 in the post season rather than the other way around (the fact that you wouldn't be in the post season if you hit .220 is irrelevant... why bother making any sense in your ramblings?).
And Greenie always wraps it up with the "Great stuff!" "we can listen to this all day". In case you missed it just think about a Ryne Sandberg interview...It was as interesting as those.

yeah exactly. wade boggs gave the standard unimpressive answers to every question. "We got 24 other guys in that locker room..." Yeah we know that.

A guy hitting .220 in the regular season probably isn't going to hit .480 in the post season, and even if that happens, it's not something you should be planning on.

And I *hate* when a bad interview is concluded on there with "Great stuff, we could talk about this all day". UGH.

That Wade Boggs interview was as bad if not worse than the Ben Gordon/MJH interview. He didn't have one coherent thought.

People should just realize that Manny is a douchebag, and move on. Then, it won't matter what he says because he's a douchebag.

Wasn't Mark Lemke one of those guys that hit 220 in the regular season but hit well in the playoffs?

he just rambled on and on and said the most predictable things. pretty much your prototypical ESPN interviewee.

That was the worst interview in the history of radio. He never answered a single question . . . just rambled on and on and on on.

Brutal.
