I made the mistake of briefly tuning into Mike & Mike today & yesterday only to be treated to drawn-out debates about whether Carmelo is a better NBA player than LeBron. Even more annoying than the nonsensical topic was that Greenie kept having to set-up the premise prior to continuing the discussion. "I was just getting dressed after working out and only caught part of the discussion on First Take...I don't want to put words in anyones mouth...". Jeez...you talk to every other ESPN employee on a daily basis, why not ask Skip to reiterate his position. Better yet - just acknowledge that he is an idiot and move on.

I think LBJ is clearly better now, but I was irate that LBJ won Rookie of the Year over Melo -- after Melo had bested LBJ in just about every statistical category and had miraculously taken the Nuggets to the playoffs with a bunch of stiffs that were no better than LBJ's bunch of stiffs in Cleveland. Seemed the vote was rigged. Melo was also hurt by his ill-advised tantrum in one game where I think he refused to go in (a la Scottie Pippen).

LeBron is the best player in the NBA but as I've been saying for years I would rather have a handful of other players with the ball in their hands with the game on the line. Next to Kobe Melo would be that guy.
