What was described by Greenberg as the greatest M&M moment ever...... Mike Golic Jr. committing to Notre Dame via phone in Italy? Seriously? I'm just a casual listener of the show so maybe I don't have the connection to the hosts families as some people might. I thought it was nice for the the Golics and all but an entire segment at the top of the hour? Now I actually like the show from time to time, but how much does this show have to suck for this to be greatest moment of the show? |

I agree. Nice moment for them but I no longer buy into their "great announcement" talk after last week's earth-shattering news (refer to yet another thread). I did think it was funny/interesting though that they had to cut out part of what Junior said about Weis calling him to avoid recruiting violations and then make clear that Junior called Weis. Uh-oh. |

I wonder if Notre Dame thinks its as great of a moment. I guess the kid can play both sides of the line, but his performance may be hard to judge due to his playing against poor competition. |

I'm on the fence on this one - my initial reaction was that it was nepotism run amock, but then listening to it I heard things I hadn't heard as far as what the kid experienced with the whole recruiting process. Not having been a college athlete, I didn't know about some of this stuff. In the end, I could have done without it, but there are worse things on the radio. Hell, this morning I flipped to North and heard his whole crew discussing peeing in the shower |

Greenie has evidently never read "The Broadcaster Who Cried Wolf." I was listening when he said that there would be a big announcement in 20 minutes, but I figured it would be the same garden-variety self-promotion usually involved in these announcements. So I changed the channel and forgot to tune back in. Turns out my instinct was pretty much correct. |
