Everything went wrong for the Brewers in the 9th, from the lazy pitcher not covering the bag, then losing the challenge, then having Baez on the ropes down to his last strike, then having bases loaded with one out and Santana swinging like he doesn't give a shit, and then Davis almost walking in the winning run.

So many key contributions, from Baez with a huge hit with 2 strikes on him, to Davis pitching out of a bases loaded 1 out jam, to KB hitting a huge 2 run homer, to Davis dominating the 9th to secure his own win......great game. But in all fairness Haap was out.

It was one of those where there wasn't enough to overturn the call on the field. The Cubs were just lucky the call on the field was safe. I don't know if the league office had better replays than what we saw, but you'd think they could get some higher resolution slow-mo shots.

I dont think he was out. The slow mo made it look like the pitcher's foot was ahead of his in getting over the bag but Happ was moving much quicker and they landed simultaneously.

Not to mention if Jeffress just hustles over there, he gets him easily.

Coomer was on M&H and he mentioned that if they had a normal 1B instead of the sub Walker, they probably don't even make a play on the ball and cover first for an easy out. That might be why Jeffress didn't initially hustle over there.
