Maybe it is just me...and the closer we get to the season, the more fired up I am for baseball...specifically Cubs baseball. I watched Comcast SportsNite last night and it just seems to me that Piniella has a more serious tone about him now, than say a week ago. I truly like that he seems to take shit straight on...and not a lot of BS about who makes the team and who doesn't.

I'm sure that's true for just about everyone as we get closer to the regular season, and everyone wants the games to count for real.

im sure he realizes that anything short of winning this division and making some noise in the playoffs is going to be considered a failure. this team starts off with a lot division games, and they need to kick some ass right off the bat and lay down the law. if they struggle early again, it will give life to these other teams, the brewers, or the reds or maybe even the astros. they need to stomp the life out of those guys right away.

im glad he is serious. take no prisoners.
