Based on range factor, Jack Wilson is contending team calibre. Fat lot of good that's done the Pirates.
Taken by itself, it's not a good thing. Contending teams are a perfect storm of enough talent, career years and good luck. I'm not going to indict Theriot based solely on these numbers.

They can carry him with that roster. But otherwise no, not as your primary leadoff man and the most important defensive position. They are asking too much.

I wouldn't have said anything but it seems that everyone drinking the blue kool-aid seems to think he is the greatest thing since Ernie Banks... or at least Shawon-O-meter.

I like him well enough, but I'd like to see him avoid the sophmore slump. That would be a good start!
