So as a Cubs fan my entire life it goes without saying there have been a lot of low moments.

But for me this takes the cake, they ejected a fan for harrasing Soriano. A season ticket holder.

WOW.

They're not doing Soriano any favors with this policy.

No shit...the more fans in the stands the better...maybe he can watch a professional catch a ball the next time the opposing teams jacks a homer over his head...

Were you there? What did he say? Was he using profanity? All these things come into play. If all he did was to say to Soriano, that he stinks in the outfield, that he is scared of the wall and approaches it in cowardly fashion and ought to shorten up his swing with 2 strikes- Well, I agree. He should be allowed to offer his thoughts. But if he was yelling "Soriano, you F_-_king suck! You play like a Caller Bob! You selfish piece of Sh_t! Then, I would have a different take on it.

How would you like it if Soriano came to where you worked and heckled you?!

It would definitely make my day fly by faster. I think he could probably do my job with no problem. I hate TPS reports.

If you are in the Bleachers and you are a season ticket holder, they know exactly who you are and have a FILE on you. lol Honest

You can get Bleacher Season tickets, but you can only get 1 ticket and you need to complete a decent size application.

On the other hand the militia at Wrigley do get marching orders many times.

I was once warned to stop the 'cussing' or I would be ejected. This was in the 8th inning of a Saturday game that had been delayed for over an hour for rain and I was bitching about the fact it was 90 degrees and they closed the concession stands to get water. Worst part I was talking to my friend and there was nobody around except for the 90 year old security guy.

As far as Im concerned anyone can say whatever they want. It's called free speech, last I checked no human had developed any special powers to make their heckling come true so why would it bother me if Soriano heckled me? I think it would be a great goof.

But the great thing is, I don't work.

i havent been to a game in several years, and never with my kids, and reading some posts on this subject make me wonder about the atmosphere at a game these days, particularly a night game. i had no plans to go this year, or to bring my kids (ages 7 and 4), but 4 tickets just dropped in our lap from a friend, in the lower grandstand, about halfway up. my wife and i are planning on bringing the kids to the game june 10th, a night game against the braves. i am asking seriously, to people who regularly attend or have recently been to a game at wrigley on a weekday night, am i being unwise taking the family down there? is the behavior really getting that out of hand? i mean, i can live with some profanity or whatever, but is there any real concerns i need to have at the park bringing my kids?

The behavior is getting out of hand. I can't believe the ushers are forcing people to sit down and cheer, and not letting you heckle the opponents.

There's drunk idiots everywhere, so you may end up with a bad break and be sitting next to a real jagoff, but I wouldn't let that keep me from bringing the family to a ballgame.

Fan behavior is fine - I've gone (with kids) this year. (Keep in mind that Frank's opinion is coming from someone who doesn't go to Wrigley - he just eats potato skins at the southside bars and pretends to play music on the weekends.) I wouldn't take the kids to the bleachers, but the rest is fine.

Mofo, I was at a couple this year. Been to probably hundreds of Cub games. Only once or twice did I really witness people getting out of hand, ALWAYS in the RF bleachers.
In the grandstand you're going to be just fine with your little ones.
Trust me.

I only went to one Wrigley game this year and the behavior was fine. It was actually pretty tame.

Could be worse or better(especially because she's hot)

SEATTLE -- A local lesbian couple says a peck on the lips nearly got the two of them tossed out of a Mariners game.

Ive been to a few games as well and really have bever witnessed anything really bad. I wouldn't sit in the bleachers with my kids though thats for sure.

The Cubs are now saying there never was an ejection so who knows whats going on.

You would be missing a good time. The Bleachers are fun. Granted it ain't no kiddie atmosphere out there, but still, good times.

I have been going to games for years and yes things have changed. As a former bleacher goer, I saw they place go from a spot where I could buy Beers when I was 16 without being carded to a militant zone of LIFES LOSERS getting jobs as Security at Wrigley and taking everything just way too far.

I have since progressed a to a Box seat season ticket holder and the same mentality exists. The little bit of Power these people get is a real pain in the ass.

since my relocation I have seen them stop and at times remove many peoples who BOO very loud. I specifically mean BOO. Not even a "YOU SUCK".

Things have changed, not to date myself, but I recall sitting in the bleachers and Dusty Baker was playf LF for the Dodgers. The guy behind me yells "Hey Baker, I could have been your dad, but the guy in front of me had the correct change". Dusty turned around and laughed, guess that shows how times have changed.

Dont go out of the house. Bunker down with the kids and order in. They will live safer lives that way.
