He was waiting all day to do Jack Brickhouse's home run call. He did it perfectly for Edmonds game tieing homer in the 9th.

Lenny - Hey Hey!!! He did it!!! That a boy Jimmy!!! Weee!!! Tie game!!!!

Nice job Len.

Really? That's cool. Is it Jack Brickhouse Day or something?

No. It's throw back to 1948. They're wearing the old uniforms. First broadcast on WGN TV was on this day in 1948.

Somebody might know better. I think this is the first time the Cubs have worn throw backs at home. I know they've done it on the road a few times.

The Uniforms were pretty cool. But the camera angles and the fact it was only in Black and White for the first 2 innings sucked. It's amazing how much harder it was to follow the ball when it was hit. The Braves uni's didn't look very different, except for the hats, with the B on it-for the Boston Braves. I wonder if the Uni's will now be auctioned for Cubs Care charities? Did anyone hear anything about that?

Len has done a great job all year, and the call of Edmonds homer was classic!

No doubt following the game in the first couple innings was difficult in the black and white, but I thought it was realy cool they did it. It was only a couple innings and it helps all of us better understand the past.

Len and Bob both looked great in their suits as well!

Keep up the good work guys!

Go Cubs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I remember a cool thing Fox did a few years ago w/ a Cubs game at Wrigley. They did a turn back the clock type deal where the game started out with the broadcast reminiscent of the first baseball games ever broadcast, awful quality and barely any picture. From inning to inning they switched decades and updated filters and so forth until they got to the 9th when it was modern. Really cool experience, despite the fact that it was Joe Buck on the call.

I didn't get to see it because I was at work, but I did hear the Len Kasper call of Jim Edmonds' game tying homer with "MJH" after the game channeling the late, great Jack Brickhouse, complete with "Hey! Hey!" That was nicely done! It was very similar to how FOX Sports literally re-created a Cubs/Cardinals' game, also at Wrigley Field, complete with old-fashioned graphics, showing how a baseball broadcast has evolved over the years.

That was nice to hear. Jack was my guy.
Len has certainly grown on me. He and Bob are as good as it gets.

I saw that too and it was one of the coolest broadcasts I've ever seen. Wish they'd try that again a few times a year.

That's why they are the best broadcast team in town!
