I had a sense that the wind came out of 'em after Carpenter got hurt...they just seem like such a paper lion. I almost...almost felt just a small tad of sad for 'em...they're competing with a smaller payroll...

The Cards have a very good lineup. The middle of that lineup, Pujols, Ludwick and Glaus have better numbers than either DP Lee or Aramis. Combine that with Ankiel, Schumaker and Molina, we shouldn't be surprised at the success of the Cards. They should be able to outslug most teams.

If the Cards had any type of closer, they probably are neck and neck with the Cubs and Brewers.

It's apparent that the Cards have more talent than people gave them credit for earlier in the year, myself included.

I don't know if it drops down price wise on a weekday, or with a different opponent, but it was $200 a man for us. Granted, we covered the groom's cost, but thats still probably 170 or 180 a piece.

I was on a rooftop last Sunday against the Pirates. It was the Sheffield Baseball Club rooftop. The outing was benefiting firefighters and cost $100 a ticket. For that hundred bucks we got the premium package, which included all the beef tenderloin I could eat, which was a lot :D . I couldn't pass up such a great deal for that price.

The rooftops are akin to the sky boxes at the United Center-it's more about what people eat and drink, than watching the game from the terrible view they afford fans. At least at the U.C. they have the great dessert cart though....
