No the semi hot hispanic looking chick in the SW commercials. The black employee guy sings.

Baez has braids. He can take them out tomorrow. Captain Ron Jaso has dreads.

At least they found Wilson's comfort zone to be able to get out of his funk. He has been dominant with 12 and 15 run leads.

With the watered down rosters in Sept and now the Card's tanking he's got a legit shot at 34 MLB home runs this year. Buckle up

That would mean my fears would be unfounded about his power. Let's see it.

I still maintain that trading Kyle Schwarber for Chris Sale would have been a mistake but hey, let's concentrate on one of my multiple reasons!

If Schwarbs works on his approach for 2018 and increases his average to say .250-.260, it would be scary how many homers he could hit. In his first two at bats last night, he let perfect first pitch strikes go by. Then he missed a pitch in the dirt by a foot. Clearly, he is guessing up there rather than seeing the ball and cutting down on his swing in two strike counts.

His approach seems fine. Take the balls/bad pitches and swing as hard as you can at the good ones.

He was forced to try and do things he wasn't used to and wasn't good at by a stubborn, smarter than everybody in the room manager. If Schwarber started the year hitting 5th or 6th in the batting order, he would probably be pushing 40HRs by now.

IMO, I don't think he'll ever hit better than .240-.250

I disagree. He is flailing at many two strike pitches. He also hits into the shift way too often. His homers have often been opposite field, but he needs to take that approach on anything middle away.

I am ok with swinging hard early in the count. But you can't keep striking out both swinging and looking as often as he does. He average will rise when he takes the pitch where it's thrown and being better at recognizing pitches in the zone.

How many 2 strike home runs does Schwarber have?

I doubt it's too many, and I think he could learn a lot from Rizzo's 2-strike approach. Rizzo has less K than BB+HBP, and he's still over 30 HR. When Rizzo got here, he looked like a platoon guy, I think I compared him to Paul Sorrento. And then he figured it out.

He currently has a babip of .230, if that comes anywhere close to normalizing to MLB average he should be hitting .240-.250.

I agree, Denny. He looks like he's guessing a lot or he's just making up his mind and predetermining he's going to swing before the ball is pitched. He looks like Baez a lot of the time. Outside shot at 30 HR, but id rather see him get his average "up" to .220 which is s fucking indictment of how awful he's been most of the year.

With Schwarber, I don't think people realize he needs to hit like Manny Ramirez to be the player people want him to be. The defense is that bad.
