Yes batting 9th vs a lefty. What sacrifice, and example of courage for the younger guys. All for a lousy $136,000 a game he's doing all this.

hes going to get traded this year by the deadline. they'll sell him as a guy who experience and a leader who can get your team to the playoffs and beyond.

That .400 BA possibly?

I don't think so. Its odd schwindel got sent to aaa and back to San Diego in less than a day.

I seriously think The Cubs would have to eat 90% of his contract in a trade he's so dreadful.

He hits fruity grounders to 3rd instead of 1st against lefties I guess.

With AAA having an off day every Monday, I was surprised that Schwindel didn't stay in NYC with the team on Sunday. I had fully expected him to be back Monday, someone was going to end up on the IL.

2 hits last night. Infield grounder that benefited from a deep shift he beat out. Then, a blooper to shallow CF off the IF's glove.

His '22 risp ba .067

Mr. Inspiration found himself on the IL for a covid infection that he never tested positive for.

Unvaccinated & and gets covid. Compare his treatment from the media to Aaron Rodgers. Who hadn't even had it when he was first attacked.

Batting against a AAA guy making his first start... we get the patented fruity grounder to 1st.

JHK 6-1-22

As a hitter who relies so much on rhythm and timing, Heyward believes playing regularly can give his offense a boost. (2016 year most ab as a Cub - 631 ops).

"There's no doubt I can help a ballclub," Heyward said, "by being a voice, by being eyes and ears, by pointing out all the details and leading by example on good days, bad days, whatever. You don't have good days without going through the bad ones. But, I've got to be on the field."

It's June 4th ans the highest paid player on the team has 16 goddamn hits. 16. And I know for a fact at least 8 of them were fruity little dribblers just out of the infield and one beat em out infield hit.

At least a few others were little flares that should have been caught as infield pop ups. If he really said that above quote then he needs to go now. At least Lorenzo Cain has openly admitted that he is lost at the plate for the Brewers and knows he is the last guy off the bench now. He was at least good a few years ago. Heyward has been terrible for 6 plus years.

I don't remember a player old man sports aging so young who doesn't have a plaguing leg injury. He'll be 33 in August. He's always had defective swing mechanics, but juice bulking up has had to screw it up even more. His swing is like a knot in a long rope. The more you try to unravel it the more it knots up. The right side infield shifting back way into the outfield grass has helped his right side signature dribblers produce some of his meager hits. His Cubs career ops is 702. I'd like to see it under 700 for some "justice" before he's launched.

Other than Heyward and Simmons, the rest of the lineup has a respectable OPS. Heyward should never see the field again.

Hilarious to hear the national broadcast guys call Heyward not a major league hitter!! Then they ripped Yadi for calling something offspeed when he can't catch up to pedestrian fastballs. That hit was not good either. He committed his legs so no power there and then he lofted it to 1B but he was covering the bag and couldn't get to it.

But lets talk about that fucking Morel at bat!!! That was fucking awesome. He fought off the heat, took it to 3-2 while laying off the stuff that was off the zone but still close and then ropes a double. What a stud.

There's the fake rah-rah JHK martyr act team-first cheerleader persona guy. But the real all-about-me and my money (Cubs are an afterthought) JHK has to really hate Christopher Morel's guts for taking his spot. Morel has turned heads with great overall play. In 79 ab he's made a positive impact and got rave reviews as opposed to JHK being an albatross to the organization the full length of his disastrous contract.

Final "justice" when Seiya Suzuki returns. They'll be no place to play him in the outfield. Could you imagine Ross DH-ing him with a Cubs career 86 ops+. It would be wonderful comedy. Ross would look like an idiot.

Suzuki is eligible to return now so this is going to come to a head.

The bottom line is, he's afraid of the ball, and has been since his 2013 beaning. It's so obvious. Had a fluke year at the right time in 2015.

I don't know how the Cubs failed to see that. He stands at the very outer edge of the box, sometimes on the chalk. Has for years. Yet somehow, last Sunday the national guys pointed out that he's adopted this new, extreme stance away from the plate. No. He's been doing that for years. I also think his fear is what led to his beyond-awkward and unfixable mechanics.

The Braves knew he was damaged goods the year after he was hit, and cut bait, which says something considering how young he was and what his promise was. What team gives up on a hyped 25 year old first-round, local pick with a few years of success under his belt (well, at least until the beaning)? They knew.

Also, what are the odds one or more of the boatload of hitting coaches hasn't told him to get closer to the plate over the past seven years? The fact that he refuses to do it says it all.

Bryant seems to be another one afraid of the ball.

Not afraid of the ball in his Cardinal contract year in 2015. He can't possibly care as a Cub as far away from the plate he is, once he got his pot of gold.

Yeah, surely nothing to do with the 1st and 3rd pictures being against righties and the middle one is vs a lefty.

The stance with the Cardinals looks properly loaded and balanced. I don't know what the fuck he is doing in the cubs stance and even the Braves one looks like he is coiling his body to whip the bat.

In shocking news he grounded out to 2nd already tonight.

dan stuck with the flowchart and asked ian happ about the legendary baseball gravity that surrounds j-hey. dan did give the disclaimer that "heyward isn't producing...but".
