He pronounces names strangely, especially Japanese or other tougher to say names. It's just his style, and it isn't a big deal.

At my son's recent HS baseball game, the opposing (home) team had a public address system and the announcer read most of the names (white boys) straight up, but then when he got to one of their players named Jose Rivera, he rolled the R for so long I thought I was at a boxing match with Michael Buffer.

Doug is great, I wanted him here 10 years ago when the Sox fucked up n cut him loose..much better than Len or JD.
