It's really amazing that this team is in 1st place. They only have 1 starter you can depend on. The other 4 are a coin toss at best. The offense is a coin toss as well. They may lead the league in runs per game, but I have a feeling if you look at the numbers, they have more clunkers than they do great ones. IF they make the playoffs, I see them get shut down like in '15 and '17.

I smell sweep.

I just dont see Hendricks doing the job tomorrow and Gant is a pretty good pitcher.

Cubs best chance to win was last night.

Here's your konklusion:

"I expected quite a bit of hard work and frustration going into this experience. I knew I would also learn more hands-on knowledge as a welcome counterpoint to the theory we have been discussing in class. I assumed I would learn many helpful tips. However, working with speakers of world languages gave me more than mere 'tips'; instead, I learned how to teach. In addition, I learned that I was not so much frustrated as inspired and motivated. This will no doubt be helpful to me in the future. And finally, I learned the joy of connecting with another human being and that differences in language competency can be bridged. That's what all education and learning is--a bridge between humans.

Plus, some of the ESL moms are way hot. Them brown chicks are curvy af."

I hope Hendricks enjoyed his nice raise he got this season, because he should be taking a dip this year. Anyone that said he was a number 1, like dumb fuck Parkins, should be feeling mighty dumb. He's probably a #3 at best. I think '16 was a fluke, no doubt.

The Cub rotation is full of three and four starters.

Lester is all smoke and mirrors this year. He’s not a number one anyomore. This team is going nowhere in the postseason.

Agree, Reason. With all the money and assets they put into the rotation, it really is pathetic. I just have a hard time getting past the fact that Theo and Jed didn't know how fragile physically and mentally Darvish was. Someone needs to take blame for that disaster. The Chatwood signing was ridiculous as well. A really bad offseason was had by the boy genius.

Agree with Schmitty and Reason. Big time failure on the SP's signed this year.

Any word on when (or if) the game might start?

Buster Olney said 820-830 central time.

Any adult called Buster should be repeatedly pummeled about the face and neck with a truck axle.

This staff is fucking garbage. Hendricks was the one that I thought was slump-proof, but of course he sucks too.

Something must be done to upgrade the rotation either now or in the offseason. And in a big way. Gotta trade one of the core players. Bote/Zagunis won't garner us deGrom.

What makes you think this front office knows how to upngrade the pitching staff?

They spent $170ish million this year and got dick for their efforts. Here’s an idea...how about drafting and developing some fucking pitching?

It’s a group of 4’s and 5’s. Keep hoping these draft picks or international guys pan out but shit. I’m st the point of hoping Darvish has a mental breakdown and retires.

Perhaps the fact they built a staff good enough to win the world series? Dear lord you are fucking dumb.

Not sure how good Theo is in developing pitching, but Bote's another rookie that makes a noticeably positive impact seemingly every time he's out there.

They have brought in top coaching talent but no results yet. Alzolay got hurt and Delacruz juiced and got caught. Those were the top 2 guys this season...
