These fucking guys blow. They will be lucky to win another game all year. Lou has no idea what to do with this lineup in inter-league games.
A bunch of sorry-ass sods, the whole lot of 'em.

well definitely not the way you wanna start off interleague play, but the goodnews is the Cardinals are getting hammered, so our lead will remain the same.

Go get em tomorrow.

Tough one tomorrow, facing Roy. Might have to hope for taking 1 of 3, especially with Marquis going tomorrow.

That will be a tough one. But I remember last year the Cubs had a crucial game vs the Cardinals, where the match-up favored the Cards big time, as we had Marquis going against them (I dont recall if it was Carpenter for sure, but they had someone tough pitching for them). But Marquis pitched his ass off and shut those guys down, to get the Cubs a big win. It's unlikely that they win tomorrow, but you never know. I really was hoping they could get this first one too.

RFDC-Yeah, the Cards losing along with Milwaukee, did take a bit of the sting away. The Cards have Adam Wainwright-their top pitcher, along with Pujols out and after skipping a start due to elbow inflammation, Todd Wellemeyer got hammered tonight in the Cardinal loss. So, perhaps the Cards are in for a tough patch of road now.

They should have had this game, oh well. I predict they chase Roy H. by the 5th inning.

great start for the cub today. how much does the batting coach make? we can all agree Henry Blanco is probably the worst hitter in N America but can you teach him not to jump when he swings? I mean holy shit I learned that in little league and my dog learned not to jump by age 1.

Rodeo-looks like you may well have made a good call on Halladay. How about the official scorer changing the call on the play Eckstein blew, from a hit to an error. It should have been an error from the start, but you know he probably only changed it, to keep the runs on Reed Johnson's homer, from being earned. But it was hilarious, seeing Eckstein crawling like a baby, over the turf, trying to get a handle on the ball, after he couldn't field it cleanly initially. That would be a great replay to run back and forth. Cubs hitters are really making Halladay work today. But the best thing over-all is Marquis pitching so well-so far. The last game was his best on the season. Maybe he's turning things around here. That would be nice.

Most impressive young Sky Walker.

An early 5 spot on Halladay. That 2nd inning was huge. He gets 2 easy outs and then they score 4 with the bottom of the line up.

Halladay is setting in, (whoa how did D Lee not get an inside the park homer on that), I predict he doesn't give up any more runs even with a man on 3rd w no outs, lets hope Marquis luck continues!

BD- I will be happy with a win out of him today. A shutout would be nice, if unlikely. But who in their right minds would think Marquis would pitch a no hitter? Just good to see him pitching well.

Wow, got one right...lol. Nice win coming off a loss. I have to do it, so I predict a big day for A-Ram tomorrow, a homer and 4 rbi's.

I been gone all day and came home expecting to see that the Cubs lost and Marquis got hammered and was pleasantly surprised to find they won!

Great job guys!

Rodeo-I sure hope you are right. If Lilly can come up with a good game against his old team, it would be sweet to take the series after dropping the first game. 4 RBI's for Ramirez would go a long way towards helping Lilly to get a win.

These fucking guys are great. I doubt they will lose another game all year.
Lou sure knows how to construct a lineup for inter-league play, you're goddamn right.

Mr Reason, for some reason, reminds me of Joe Schultz; the manager of the Seattle Pilots in the book Ball Four
