Right. You said show stats to prove my point, I did. Lots of pitchers would have 9 wins with that kind of run support.

No, you showed stats to prove a new point. Lily was helped out by his offense, that is a completely different thing that what you started out saying. You know it and I know it. Now you wanna change things up to still make yourself look smart and I aint buying it and I doubt anyone else around here will. You are clueless.

You made it sound to begin with that Lily was being bailed out in all his wins and that would mean his was getting wins in like 9-8 ball games. But the stats show very clearly the most runs he has given up were 4 in his wins. So your logic was completely off, therefore you change gears and say well no I just meant he was getting "helped out" by the offense.

Just get over it Frank, you are a clueless ignoramus.

The only ignorami here are the ones saying it is "amazing" that Ted Lilly has 9 wins this season, while pitching for the team which was clearly the best in the league for the first half, and in those wins got an average of 7.5 runs per game scored for him.

i have to admit i was surprised when i saw he had 9 wins, but i can only remember him getting shelled that one time. otherwise, he has been ok. he started poorly, but he seems to be coming around ok.

frank, your arguments are pretty funny. they dont make much sense very often, but they do tend to stir the pot.

frank, normally I actually like ya a lot, so don't take this as a riles-like personal attack. This is meant for this thread only.

You have no fucking clue what you're talking about. Your logic is circular at best, and your later attempts at wordsmithing your quotes were fairly pathetic.

Ok.

Frank, now you know how Sox fans feel when Steve enters a discussion.
You were better served to stay out of this one.
Nice job, RFDC.

Cubs have scored 103 runs in the 18 starts which Lilly has made, which averages out to 5.5 runs a game, not 7.5.

Also in 5 of those starts, the cubs failed to score more then 3 runs, he lost all 5 of those starts, so while he might get run support on his wins, he for sure has been hurt in a 1/3 of his games by the lack of run support.

Cubs going with the shit lineup, with Fontenot and Cedeno playing, and Ward in right.

You watch them lose 1-0 on a steal of home, the sorry-ass cocksuckers.
The patchwork lineup is starting to catch up with them. The All-Star break can't come soon enough.
Oh,and fuck off Slick.

Based solely on what I've read here and his avatar, Mr. Reason's loveparents are Groucho Marx and Earl Weaver.

I know it won't matter, but fatass Ward has to be on third after Edmond's flyout to center. Things like that lose you games.

Fire and Passion just chased down an Edmonds big fly in center, running into the wall. Edmonds needs the fire and the passion.

He should have been standing on third on that ball he hit in the gap. That's a triple for any other major leaguer.

And they should have pinch ran for Ward with nobody out.

Oh, I agree completely, he should have had a triple to begin with. But his fatass should have been on third after the flyout, fundamental base ball, for Christ's sake. If Rowand doesn't catch it, he is gonna score, no matter what.

Yeah, sometimes I wonder what Lou is doing. Why is Theriot pinch hitting if he can't start?

Was thinking the same thing. Theriot is having a nice year, but if he's not 100%, he's no better than Cedeno.

That play was just sick that Castillo made on the ground ball by DeRosa. Probably the best play I've seen by a third basemen all year.

Yes it was a great play.

It seems Cain always pitches really well against us.

If It's over Rowand's head, Ward can score even if he is standing on second. He should have been tagging up.
He should have been on third.

I was actually going for a fire-and-passion thing there, Reason. Either I was too subtle or I just suck.

No 24 Guy, it was me, not you. My sense of humor took a hiatus.
This fucking game sucked ass. The steal of home in the first was the difference, cocksuckers.

On the bright side, Marquis looked pretty good tonight. His sinker had some nasty bite to it. He just needs to keep it down in the zone.

Franklin, when it comes to baseball, I am as crusty as they come.
Now, if you would get off your ass and start hustling around the goddamn streets. You might get a prick stuck in ya' once in a while.

Why are the Cubs and Giants wearing the same navy blue caps? They each have a weird style C and SF as their logos as well.
