I didn't see it but I flipped on the game and Bob said that ARAM got hurt sliding into home. He's out of the game.

How bad did it look? What did he hurt?

It's been close to 20 years since the Braves have really sucked. Twenty years ago they had a 54-106 record, their second worst ever. Before that, in 1909 the organization was 45-108, and in 1911 they were 44-107. A couple of years ago they also had a losing record, but not as bad as these.

I love when the stupid bullpen guys come jogging out onto the field when they think a fight is happening.

They look so stupid. Nothing was happening. But you see these ass holes jogging out like they're going to war. Like the other 20 guys from the field and dugout can't handle it.

Escobar is a punk bitch. I'm surprised CB Buckner didn't pimp slap him right there on the spot. The benches clearing was ludicrous. It was just something for the bullpen guys to do.

Buckner isn't in a giving mood tonight, his strike zone is nickel sized.

The last time the Atlanta Braves were this bad had to be when Reagan was just getting settled in the White House. Other than Tom Glavine, Chipper Jones & Brian McCann, who the hell are these guys? Kelly Johnson? I could've sworn he did a radio show on B96.3 before playing second base for the Braves... Jeff Franceur? The "fans" in Atlanta actually booed his sorry ass, got demoted to Triple "A" Richmond, is suddenly back with the big club down South, and is still doing very little... Needless to say, Bobby Cox can't wait for this season to end. Unfortunately, the Falcons aren't supposed to be much better this season... :(

You are correct, but I thought Franceur was recalled shortly after he was demoted...

Wow, this game had more drama than I needed, thanks Howry :x

Hopefully the contusion Ramirez has is just a contusion and he comes back tommorow or at least Saturday.

Nice to see guys like Soto and Fukodome look like they did early in the season, taking pitches, walks, working the count.

So wait, after having Bueno, who was making his major league debut, be the one to do the dirty work, throwing at the head of a veteran all-star, getting fined for it, and suspended for it... they demote him right back to AAA?

Nice.

Are you daring to question the tactics of the old-school god Bobby Cox?

I don't understand anybody who justifies the Braves actions vs. the Cubs (specifically Soriano) over the last two seasons. They throw at him and hit him repeatedly, injuring him once, but some people take Cox's side last night with that Bueno piece of crap. Because Soriano "posed" too long? Please, if anything he helped that sorry ass Braves squad by taking a sure double and turning it into a single. Meanwhile, during all of the beanings and brushbacks to Soriano, no fights, charging the mound, posturing, etc. from the Cubs.

Now tonight, Lily hits another AAA Brave, and now he wants to huff and puff, put on a show. Where the hell was old school Bobby Cox then? I gotta think that the unwritten old school rules allow for some retaliation after repeated beanings, no? Cox and the once proud Braves are a heaping pile of cowardly shit.

The term "old school" is the retort of a dufus. Usually, something is old school for a reason... because people got smart and graduated to a newer school. One where you don't head-hunt someone, messing with their career and their life, just because they loafed to first base. One where you don't punch your wife around because you threw back a few.

This Bueno kid immediately appealed his 3 game suspension for throwing at Alfonso Soriano's head after #12 hot dogged earlier in Game 1 of the Cubs' sweep of the doubleheader Wednesday afternoon? What's worse? Soriano not running & admiring what turned out to be a long single, Bueno's headhunting or Piniella not taking Alfonso immediately out of the game for that crap? I know Bobby Cox would've taken Soriano out of the game if he wore the Braves' white, black & red for that display...

What do you mean "what's worse"? Obviously, throwing a ball 90 miles an hour at somebody's head is what's worst, you doofus.

I understand also why they threw at Soriano, but at his head? No, thats wrong, throw at his hip or backside, that does the trick.

Which time? Please -The posturing by Soriano came AFTER all of the other beanings - Cox and the Braves are an embarassment.

Look who's talking! I was referring, Curious, to the Atlanta Braves' headhunter who threw at Alfonso Soriano's head and got suspended for 3 games, yet I understand he got sent back to Triple "A" Richmond & still appealed his punishment! I don't condone what the pitcher did, let alone Soriano's hotdogging earlier in that game on a homer that turned out to be a single! My problem is two fold. The pitcher got suspended, appealed & got demoted back to the minors for his actions...If MLB had a real "Commissioner" instead of a clueless boob like Allan H. Selig, that idiot who threw at Soriano should serve his punishment before getting demoted!!

Ah yes, the Seth McClung defense:
"You're suspended three games for trying to hit Albert Pujols!"
"Honestly, I wasn't trying to hit Pujols. I'm just really terrible at my job."
"You have a point. Suspension erased!"
