good for Telander writing that article on Soriano...when he was hurt the Cubs OFFENSIVE numbers were not that different, even though they lost more games....

Hey man, enjoy work I am just enjoying the game at home with
a cool beer in hand. I will cut down the comments to a point that
things acutally are worth commenting on. Have a nice Labor Day
weekend.

The T-bone and Porterhouse are steak cuts of beef. They consist of a T-shaped bone with meat on each side. The larger side contains meat from the strip loin, whereas the smaller side contains the tenderloin. Porterhouse steaks are cut from the rear end of the short loin and contain a much larger section of the tenderloin. T-bone steaks are cut from further forward in the short loin and contain a comparatively smaller section of the tenderloin. In British usage, followed in Commonwealth countries, only the strip loin side is called the porterhouse, and the tenderloin side is called the fillet. There is little agreement among experts on how large the tenderloin must be to call a T-bone a porterhouse; some steaks with a large tenderloin may be called a mere T-bone in some restaurants and steakhouses. The US Department of Agriculture's Institutional Meat Purchase Specifications states that the tenderloin must be at least 1.25 inches (32 mm) thick at its thickest to be classified a porterhouse. Similarly, the USDA says that the tenderloin must be at least ½ inch (13 mm) thick for the steak to be classified a T-bone.

Dude, frank is a closet Cubs fan.
I know he is.
He watches the games. Reads up on 'em. Loves the rooftops. He posts in thes sections several times daily and admits fully that the Cubs are a good team.
He might still be in denial but he loves the Cubs.

Koko was a pretty cool ape. Sign language and all. Harden is starting to get his
shit together. We will see if the bats wake up for the Cubs. Great day to be there.
I am going to my first game in 2 years in 3 weeks or so.

Looks like Harden has settled down, so hopefully the offense picks up in the next few innings.

Boy, I've about had my fill of Blanton locking the Cubs lineup down. And Utley can't get out of Chicago soon enough for my tastes.

Come on boys, we got a lead off walk. Blanton isn't THAT good
of a pitcher. We will see what Fukodome has...

I can't stand him, the only way I want to see him back in Chicago again is if he has a Cubs uniform on

So close down the line for Fuko... I agee with Utley. I
wouldn't kick him off my team. The guy can get on base
and hit like a fiend.

Blanco isn't the greatest catcher in the league but damn he plays
hard. I like this guy's attitude. Anyone know who else he played
for in the past as he is no spring chicken???

Nice slide by Blanco. that might well have caused the error there. At least they got A run there.

You think you have them all covered? Thanks for the info.
Maybe he just looks different with all the TATS over the years.
He would fit right in up in Wisconsin this weekend with the
105th anniversary of Harley this weekend. I guess Lewis
Black was great and Kid Rock blew.... Foo Fighters this
weekend and Bruce Springsteen to finish up.

Stinkfinger... bust me back to the correct forum?

Exactly.... Gaudin is pitching ok. Funny I saw Eric Patterson turn a double
play on SportsCenter this morning. The ONLY mention of a Cub that I
can remember. Nice Trade Cubs.

Bring on the bullpen. We may learn a bit this afternoon. 4 game series so we need this
one for a number of reasons. Who comes in now??

Man, Marmol is a freak. They just said on the radio broadcast that he's averaging less than 4 hits per 9 innings, which not only leads the majors, but would be a first in major league history if he can finish the season below the 4 hit mark.

you got to like Marmol embarrassing those two batters, the second swinging at a 58 foot slider and promptly launching his bat into the 3rd row. :D
