Jesus, how long has this inning been? I think Cubs batters have seen more pitches this inning, than most teams see in a given game. 14-8 Cubs now, this is just ridiculous.

Jeez, even a tight game, where the Cubs are down going into the 8th, they turn into a blow out.

Somebody look it up. I'll bet the Cubs set a record for "most runs vs one team in a season".

They have to be averaging 10 or 11 runs against the Pirates this year.

Great stats being shown during the game tonight. Cubs have the most walks, and its convincing, but 30 more then the nearest team. Then that last stat of the most 5 run or more innings. The offense can beat up bad pitching and has been smart. Lets hope it continues to the playoffs.

This was the ugliest win of 5+ runs you will ever see.

The offense was great, patient, hitting to the opposite field but everything else about this game for the Cubs was atrocious.

3 errors, lousy pitching, terrible bunt by Cedeno, Wood not getting to first base on a ball hit to first base. Thankfully the Pirates just sucked more.

But at this point I will take any win.

Cubs once again win a statement game. Things are really looking good for the north-siders. Looking forward to sweep tomorrow. Some of you fellows seem way too uptight about this team. Everything is fine. The Brewers have to be getting frustrated. They keep winning and gaining no ground. Everyone needs to

Daunting task accomplished!!! Now the only question is whether they can complete the sweep. Now 2 games over .500 on the road and again they sport the best record in all of baseball. 9 straight series wins now, reguardless of tomorrows outcome. Soto did nothing tonight to take away from his ROY chances, thats for sure.

I got excited when the Cubs scored their runs today, but at the same time, it's like "haha, I'm getting excited about the Cubs beating the Pirates." Oh well. 33 above!

You know, I was thinking about what a good job Marquis did today too. Then I thought about the fact that he was pitching against the lowly Pirates. A team that is now without Xavier Nady and Jason Bay and was going to dismiss it. But then I considered that Big Z only got through 4 1/3 last night against the same crew and have come to the conclusion that indeed he deserves a tip of the cap.
