Better than I thought, I still agree with Keyser though..if ya need an out, he's pretty easy to get out..his defense is much better this year and he's cut his ks down pretty significantly.. I'm kinda torn between trading him for pitching or keeping him @2nd base-utility man for the next 5 years...not a turd..I was wrong.

At least Baez is good.

Now we can trade Bryant and his terrible baserunning.

He's starting to figure out his big league power.

He's 23.

Russell - 22
Bryant - 24
Contreras - 24
Schwarber - 23

This is kind of exciting.

Bryant in LF, Baez at 3B.

Improve defense, and maximize return on the trade.

As a fan of the Chicago National League franchise, would you rather have a second ace or a hobbled DH?

The second coming of Babe Ruth. I am in a good mood I am not doing this tonight. Be well. Go Cubs.

If you want Sale it's Schwarber and Baez at the minimum.

Then I'll look to other top shelf pitchers.

Though I do think the White Sox would consider something like:

Schwarber, Happ, Underwood, Cease and another piece or two.

i think it can be said that schwarber blowing out his knee when it did (along with soler furthering his possible reputation as "injury prone") ended up being a net positive for the cubs. because of schwarber's injury you've been able to give javvy baez a chance to establish himself at the major league level and i have to assume that the results are a-ok with cubbie nation, right?

assuming schwarber comes back next year and resumes being some kind of ~40HR-threat masher that's somewhere in between .260 and .320+ not having him around in 2016 to take at-bats away from what very well could be the javvy baez breakout season = a net-positive for the cubs as long as schwarber comes back and hearkens expletives b4 ruthian namedrops, right?

The barstool white sox guy who has scooped a lot of stories said they request Moncada and Benentendi (sp?) as a starting point.

Well, the Cubs don't have a for sure like Moncada, but Benintendi is a solid but not blue chip prospect. I wouldn't put him above Jimenez Almora or Happ necessarily.

I'm not sure a guy has ever been traded who is as valuable as Sale when you take his ridiculously team-friendly contract into consideration. If I'm dealing with Boston, I want those two guys plus one of the big league outfielders, Betts or Bradley and a couple of A ball pitchers. No way I'm taking fat little Schwarber and a bunch of B grade pitching prospects from the Cubs. I might consider Baez, Almora, Contreras plus some pitchers.

They're not going to trade away stars on their current team. Cubs wouldn't be trading Rizzo or Bryant in a Sale deal for the same reason.

Yes.

No one has no idea how he bounces back. Teams want him. Perfect DH material. But I don't think they do it....they love him.

Let's be honest. The Sox aren't helping the Cubs win the World Series just like the Cubs wouldn't help the Sox if they were a World Series contender.
