It won't happen but why not see what you can get for him? He's already making 10M+ this season, Boras will want 300M+, you have other 3B options and let's say you could get Syndergaard and deGromm plus prospects for him??

Why not put his name out there??

This would not be selling high on Bryant. That would have been after the WS win.

But if he rebounds and has an excellent season in 2019, I think the braintrust has to consider it, even if it means moving Baez to 3B. Bryant is not going to stay here in free agency, Boras won't let him. And they're going to need a place to play the kid Hoerner by 2020, so put him at SS, move Russell to 2B, and Baez to 3B, and get some top shelf young pitching for Bryant.

Completely ridiculous thought.

you are going to sell high on a guy who is in the middle of a relatively down year?

Getting back Trout is about the only was I trade Krissy.

Don't buy into 77cubs' hatred for Bryant. This is a grudge that's been going on a few years now. I can't explain it. Maybe it was about him being soft or something like that?

Id probably trade him for a few more players than Trout.

Like say Mookie Betts, Jose Ramirez, Daniel Palka

So we're all just gonna pretend that you could get Mike Trout for Kris Bryant? You're just enabling him.

To reiterate, I said why not see what's out there for him? The injury is minor so his value shouldn't be adversely affected. And as said here. Boras will want huge money. Look at Harper now? He is killing the Nats and is a pending FA and they will get nothing but 1 lousy pick. If you can get premium controllable pitching for Bryant, you have to seriously consider it. The have a surplus of position players and virtually no young pitching.

Move Bryant and get a haul...

Yes, trade the 26 year old with an MVP (during a World Series winning season) under his belt and 4 controllable years left on his deal. Gotta get rid of THAT guy.

This is just part of your weird Krissy thing.

Yes, yes and yes.... He has been in decline ever since he got married. Like many of us married people already know, it is only going to get worse. Trade him before she totally destroys his confidence and turns him into a SJW protesting the use of wooden bats because it "hurts the environment!"

Like if he wins MVP again? His value right now is off the charts so for all intents and purposes, you'd be selling high...

I know the pitching has been suspect but I’m not sure that Steve Trout is the answer.

You mean that the Mets don't want to give up their top two rotation guys for a 3B who is having a down year?

How about the Cubs trade Chris Gimenez to the Angels for Tyler Skaggs?

He's toast. The plunk in the grill killed him like it did Heyward. Maybe he'll have a resurgence in 2023.
