Good for him. I would have zero regrets doing the same thing.

Yeah, as amazing as it would be to attend, that is just too much money.

Cubs fans should just fly to Cleveland and buy tickets. You can buy seats for GAME ONE, behind home plate, for $1,400 per ticket. I mean if you're gonna spend $14,000 for 3 upper deck tickets at Wrigley, just fly to Cleveland. You'll save so much money.

Here's the map for GAME 1 tickets in Cleveland.

I enjoyed being at all 4 games in 2005.

If I was offered 10k, I would've sold each one.

$14,000 is pennies for some Chicago Cubs fans, I'm sure.

Also, there is some additional amount of value added to watching the Cubs at home versus away...celebrating with 42,000 of your closest friends...etc

I was at GAME 7 in 2003. I don't think stub hub was around then. If it was, I wasn't aware of it. But I came across the tickets at the last minute. Wouldn't have had time to sell them. I would have taken 10k for the pair. Stub hub probably didn't have instant download in the early days anyway. Cuz teams weren't scanning printed paper like they do now. You probably had to mail the hard tickets to the buyer.

I see the Cubs are now taking a $50 deposit for every lottery entry. I wonder if they'll keep the money & apply it to the next season like the Bears did to their STH awhile back. Maybe they'll send a 25% off coupon for swag.

Got tickets to today's game via the regular lottery--got an email overnight. I ended up with Sec. 222, Row 11 & didn't even have to deal with the virtual waiting room. Interest must be way down.

market has been soft all year. Not nearly as much interest. And yes, game 4 was very soft. Did sell game 3 for decent coin.

Face value prices are too high

I usually go to 3-5 games and this year went to none.
