That doesn't bode well for this season. But maybe you can capture the Mirror Ball Trophy.

Maybe the White Sox can capture 4th place in the A.L. Central.

Maybe. But what does that have to do with the Cubs losing key component David Ross?

2016

Were people this passionate about Chris Widger after the 2005 WS?

I kinda want David Ross and his family to all die horrible, painful deaths on live television. Does this make me a bad person?

You can win a bar bet because of Chris Widger. Game Three, 2005 World Series (in which the Far Superior White Sox only needed four games to dismiss their opponent), Blum hits the extra inning HR to give the Sox the lead. The Sox won the game 7-5

Chris Widger drew a bases loaded walk to knock in Aaron Rowand for the 7th run.

Also, this the second time in this thread that Caller Dumbass has brought the Sox into the discussion. Clearly he suffers from the Napoleon syndrome, among MANY other things.

While we are on the 2005 White Sox, did you know they only lost 1 total game in that years playoffs?

I did know that, but thank you for the refresher! That 11-1 run was clearly the single most dominant baseball playoff team that this city has ever seen.

Basically, the 2005 shout outs are becoming as sad and pathetic as the '85 Bears' shout outs.

If you truly feel they are that pathetic, why do you keep bringing the White Sox into MANY Cubs threads?

No problem!

I am not sure if you knew this: During that same run, 4 complete games were pitched in a row. I am pretty confident, this has never happened in the modern era before.

What's pathetic is the Cubs signature meme from last year isn't something original but instead a stale reincarnation of an old Sox fan trope. Pretty sad.

Caller Bob is like a new spice to liven up an old recipe. I welcome his contributions to this fine forum.

Hopefully the 2016 meme will turn into 2016-

I view 2016 as paying respect to 2005.

That's not the analogy I would use. How about a turd on the carpet?

I can't believe no one has commented on just how awful this whole little skit was last night. Words can't properly convey the magnitude of this atrocity.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eSD6NbBQtu0

On a side note, the chick he was "dancing" with is super hot and Ross himself gives off a child molester vibe.

Yeah, she's hot, and he looks like a kiddie diddler...

I'm not watching that video because I just don't care.
