He has almost double the OPS Jose Abreu currently has, and plays GG defense.

Our latin infielder is better than your latin infielder!

IMU's boy whiffs a couple of times, and his only answer is, "durrr he's better than the White Soxs!" Very Sad!

You're right. It was lazy. 15 of the Cubs' 25 man roster (and a few not on the 25 man) would be the single best player on the current White Sox.

Baez needs to have better at-bats, or he will have a hard time finding playing time on this All-star team.

When the sox won the ws in 05, they chanted Cubs suck outside of sox park.

When the Cubs won the ws in 16, there was not one thought of the white sox from Cubs fans.

Wrong again. Ten seconds after the final out, a Cubs fan posted "W" on my FB wall.

Pretty pathetic when a fanbase just resorts to lies because they have nothing else.

Your best post ever. 8). Cubs have better scraps for sale than the White Sox have talent in the minors.

Maybe if you guys attempted to understand sample size, your VP of Baseball Ops would do the same.

What the hell does that mean? FB Wall? I'm talking about real life people here, not something on the internets.

Sox fans after the 05 win chanted Cubs Suck outside at Sox Park. It was on the news. I remember a thread on this forum about it. It's a fact

Call Les Grobber tonight. He will tell you. You don't even need to talk to him on the air. He will take your call off the air. Just ask the producer. Les does it all the time.

I don't want to make this into a pissing match. I don't hate the Sox. I quit hating them when I moved out of the area and rooted for anything Chicago. But that's just some revisionist history.

I hate to break it to you, but the internets IS real life. Writing a Facebook post to somebody is almost the same thing as sending a text message.

Find the thread and bump it. I was at the park after the Sox won. There is photographic evidence of this. There was no Cubs chant that I heard. I am not wasting any time calling Les. If you want to, you go right ahead.

Sure you don't.

Lot of that going around among Cubs fans.

Well, to be fair, I don't think Facebook was invented the last time the White Sox won the World Series.

He needs to work on going to right field more. Pitchers are almost exclusively pitching him on the outside part of the plate and beyond. His plate discipline needs to improve too. That said, I believe he will make adjustments and have another solid season.

Baez will be the new punching bag this season with Heyward looking better.

He's horrible.

Well so far he should be the punching bag. He's been awful at the plate

Nah, he's really good. But he needs to stop trying to pull every pitch and hit it out of the park. pitchers are throwing almost everything on the outside and often out of the zone away. He needs to just go opposite field with those pitches, settle for base hits and more contact and I'm confident that will happen. He had similar problems in 2015 and then he dramatically improved in 2016. but for some reason he has regressed and he needs to readjust now. He will.

Surprised the Cubs do not hire you. God only knows how they do the day to day operations without you.

I was all by myself with my Baez hate last year. Nice to see some people watching this guy's body of work. He's Miggy Tejada, or Billy Beane's "Mr. Swing at Anything". He has immense talent but as even Cubs fanboy Len Kasper put it one night, "he gets two strikes on him and it's over". Unlike Heyward, Baez doesn't have a whole lot of proven offensive work to fall back on.

Nice to see him hit a double off the right-center field wall last night. Perhaps he is working on going to right field, as I hope is the case. If he can do that successfully, he will be kicking ass again. I am confident it's not an aberration.

You know that is not true.

CoF lives in a dream world where he thinks he is the only one who is able to see certain things.

He did the same thing with Noah.

And the crazy thing is no matter what happens with Baez he will be riding this horse.

If Baez proves to be a good major league player he will still find certain things to complain about.

If Baez proves to be a failure he will be here proclaiming himself as the only one who had any concerns about him
