That lost the Phillies had on Saturday might be the start of an epic downfall for them.

They had been playing really well and had full control of that game until the 9th. I'm not sure how a young group of players who have never won before overcome that.

We have to take 3 outta 4 this series.

3 of 4 is a must. Cubs need to start playing better at home, and the defense needs to get better. Couple lazy plays last night cost them in the 8th inning.

They need to get into the Phillies' bullpen. Velasquez has been shit, they need to knock him out in the 4th tonight.

The only game which they have any kind of excuse for losing would be Tuesday because Hellickson has been pitching out of his ass. But Lester needs to go 7IP/2R and try to let the hitters win it late.

Wednesday and Thursday, there can't be any excuses, those are games 1st place teams win.

Not really. It is piss poor baseball. Errors. Bad base running. Mistakes everywhere. But they still are the most talented team so it should shake out and they will fix what needs fixing by Aug. 1. They have all they need to get what they need again.
