He's going to drive me nuts his entire career with Cubs. There is tons of talent but his strike zone recognition will be his achillies heal. When he stays within himself he will be okay but that's not his strong point.

Almora is almost too good at making contact. Hits bad pitches he should let go that ends up as weak outs. I'm pleasantly surprised by him so far though it I agree that taking it slow is the right move.

arrr.

nice to find a fellow Baez hater. I can't stand his plate approach and he strikes me as a bad high pressure player.

I don't hate him at all. If I hated him he wouldn't drive me nuts. I just see at the end of his tenure I will have the "if only he would/could of" with him.

Would be nice if he could hit something besides a HR once in a while. .193 average is brutal.

Stealing PM's joke. Maybe they can put some Iowa HRs in plexiglass.

Same guy that went deep in the deciding game VS the Cardinals in 2015 too. He's a guy that likes the big stage.

As far as Schwarber, hitting 30 bombs despite not being a full time player and having a stint in the minors.....pretty good. I suspect 2018 will be a substantially improved season, with a much higher average (.250-.260) and 40 homers.

Homerun in a scoreless game 1 of the NLDS
Go ahead single in 9th inning of NLDS Game 4 clincher
Homerun in Game 7 of the World Series clincher

That's WITHOUT the NLCS or any of his slick fielding.

This guy is starting to rake, avg. Up, Obp up and power as usual( 6 hr) might end up being a good thing we didn't dump him like I've wanted for 18 months.

It is possible but I would put as much definiteness into his present average as I would Rizzo's.

Rizzo's going to come around. He's kind of like Heyward in that he doesn't need to slug to justify his contract. He simply needs to get on base and strive for average. The rest of the lineup can smash.

JORR,

Albert Almora Jr., your thoughts?

I think he'll be okay. He's a good defensive centerfielder. Most Cub fans I know think he should play everyday, but I think the way they're bringing him along is best for him in the long run. Let him hit his best matchups in what's really his first big league season.

Oops 3.0! Looks like everyday is the best way for Almora Jr.

What's your thoughts on I.Happ? Think really hard on this one, you don't want to always look like a fool.

One of these Cubs prospects has to be a bust eventually. Subdivision could always reference Solar

No, I don't think Baez performs well under pressure. I guess we'll find out.

It only took 4 years and a juiced ball but he finally got to 37 home runs in a season when even "low power" players like Abreu have 33!

You need therapy, Bob. I have admitted I was 100% wrong on Anderson at least a dozen times. Of course, you won't quote those posts though. Fucking imbecile.

You throw tantrums more often than my three year old does
