The team does seem to have a lot of bereavement and personal absences this year.

Fucking Baez. Works a 2-0 count and chases 2 balls at his feet then whiffs on the 2-2. Took himself right out of the at bat

LaStella not moving to second on the wild pitch or passed ball had initially caused a run not to score. It ended up scoring...but you gotta play better.

Why is Maddon burning Davis (again) in a non save situation?

Carl Edwards Jr. is kind of the shit.

He's never really struggled at the Major League level and now he's got it figured out to some degree (as MJ would say).

And he has Maddon's trust - unlike Strop.

Except for when Maddon brings him in at a high leverage situation and Strop blows it (like last week). Then Maddon gets all pissy about being questioned about it on the radio.

felt good to rock the reds a little bit. but i didn't like that it was close for so long. they could use some 10-4, 12-3 wins coming up. schwarber looked a lot more comfortable after he hit that dinger.

Yep. Yet another simply baseball concept that Bob cannot fully grasp. Closers need to pitch. If Davis didn't pitch yesterday then came in today and blew the save, Bob would be roasting Maddon for not pitching Davis enough.

Also, the Cubs have been scuffling, the Reds had the top of the order to start the ninth, even with a 4 run lead no need to mess around there. Bring in Davis and lock up the win.

Last thing you need is some shitbum giving up a two run jack to Votto, then you've got to get Davis up in a hurry.

Happ in CF and Jay in RF tonight?

Maddon what are you drinking? Does he think Happ is too inexperienced to deal with the May sunset in RF at 7pm?
