I think this road trip is when the Cubs take possession of first place in the Central and don't give it back. They're still not a good team but I think they start breaking out here and the Brew Crew and Cards fall further off the pace.

I think the Brewers are playing over their head and won't sustain their level. Not sure what to make of the Cards but I feel Zobrist is ready to turn the corner, I think Schwarber will play better and Russell will as well. I think it's going to come together. I don't think this is a great team but it's certainly good enough to win the division.

The hitting or lack of has been most puzzling so far. To many good bats to look like this. For a repeated stretch like since April. Baseball. Go figure.

Not sure why you are down on the bullpen. The key guys, Davis, Koji, Edwards, Strop with the exception of Rondon have been outstanding. If your problem with the bullpen is that the glorified mop up guys aren't getting it done, that's pretty silly.

The core of the pen has been great when given a lead.

The offense is just bad right now. Outside of Bryant and Rizzo nobody is hitting. Can't steal bags, can't get on base.

I love it. Rizzo gets on base 3 times a game, so that is solid.

But beyond all of that, this is a crazy fucking lineup and maybe it will finally be drilled into the players' skulls that "hey you fucks, see the stupid shit I have to do to try to figure out a way for you assholes to score runs?" and they can actually score more than a couple.
