Sonny Gray blows, he's always hurt or has diarrhea or food poisoning, fuck Gray. Happ is a legit switch hitter with power, he plays 4 positions.

Sonny Gray is a career 11 WAR pitcher, who has a .551 win% playing for a terrible Oakland team. He is also under team control for 2 more years.

Ian Happ doesnt even have 200 big league at bats yet. If he is the piece Beane wants for Gray, you make the move.

"Jake will be fine." Idiot.

I'd trade Happ for Gray, yeah.

No you wouldn't. Isn't Gray hurt often? I don't trust A's pitchers.

Agreed with Hoffy and 312. Gray doesn't move the needle for me.

Rich Harden had a 12+ career WAR with the As when the Cubs traded for him and continued to be injured all the time after the trade. Josh Donaldson didn't have any big league at bats when he was traded in that deal.

Cubs probably don't have enough to get Gray, although Bean seems to be happy to undervalue the assets he is moving.

Happ alone shouldn't be enough to get a trade done by any transitive value equation.

20 Homeruns. If not for Bellinger likely would be the ROY in the NL.

Per Len he was putting on a show with his power in BP.

They sure know how to draft hitters.

It would be close, but Ian Happ has won more games.

Now only if they were as good at trades and free agents.

They are pretty great with trades for the most part.

Haap is fine as a corner outfielder and is okay at 2b, but with Almora and Jay around, should not be playing in CF.

Albert Almora is Cuban, not Mexican. This one flew over your head.

i wonder what his future will be w/ the team. I like him, but I can also see him being traded in the offseason for a 1 or 2 pitcher.

I think it's more likely that they trade Russell, as they have 2 more years of team control with Happ.

They have way more than 2 years with Happ. He just started his clock this season.
