Batting leadoff really hurt him mentally. He's battled back nicely since his demotion and he's been better in the outfield than I thought he could be.

He has flubbed no less than 10 plays in the outfield this season. If Total Bags Against was a stat for outfielders...bags given up via error or mishandling hops, he would be at a -20 or worse. He turns singles into doubles and doubles into triples. He is so bad out there that third base coaches can send runners to home before the ball is fielded because there is a 20% chance Kyle cannot even pick up the ball on first attempt.

He has thrown two runners out recently, and one of those was because he fucked up fielding the ball and the other team was getting greedy taking extra bases.

I know I'm going to come out of left field with this crazy thought, but Nas and jimmy... it doesn't work like that.

Cubs fans aren't required to give players, management or coaches a pass in 2017. Do you want the team to grow complacent? I don't.

If this is what Schwarber is... then you trade him in the offseason. You won't "lose" 2016. You don't need to play a lesser player in 2017 and beyond because he had 20 good plate appearances in one series in 2016.
