He wasn't THE problem, but when you have a starting pitcher who cannot win games its part of the problem.

Again, simple stuff to grasp. At least for some of us.

And THIS is why people shouldn't listen to Murph.

You had 8 of 9 hitters that couldnt hit. And always 3 starters worse than Q that couldnt pitch. And a bullpen that couldnt hold leads. And a defense that couldnt pick up and throw the ball.

2nd worst team in the AL from 2013-2016. Possibly single worst if you add in this season. Only future HOFs like Sale could win on a team that bad.

If Lester pitches well when he comes back, is Quintana the #6?

Montgomery and Lackey have been looking good.

Not a problem with those teams necessarily. Just a problem. Thanks for Eloy though.

Cubs prospects are winners. He will help more than Sale ever could.

That's doubtful. Sale is better than every player currently on the Cubs. Just happy the Sox suckered a team into that good a deal for a mediocre SP.

He wasn't a problem but I think he's another case of SABRmetrics getting it wrong on how great he was.

I'm not reading through all this.

Quintana was a great person and a good pitcher. I don't know how Sox fans could have problems with him.

At the very least, recognize that we got him for nothing, not even the cost development and he was turned around for a future MVP and a future Cy Young winner.

He was a mediocre pitcher while here and we flipped him for something that should be better. I don't see any reason to acknowledge him for this. I don't dislike the guy but there's no reason as a Sox fan I should like him and the great person stuff is a bit confusing.

Yeah, I'll feel worse when Miguel Gonzalez leaves.

Not any dumber than the people who thought the Cubs traded for a top 10 starter because xFIP told them so.

Unlike Cubbie Nation, the Subdivision has a strong diversification of opinions.

If you watched last night's game, Len announced that Anderson pitched well for the Blue Jays, if I recall.
