Did he give you a World Series ring?

I'm gonna ask him for one.

Can you ask why tf he pronounces his name "Jay"?

I can't tell if Montero tagged Javy, but that is blocking the plate. There was no lane. He had to go so far around that even a full stretch couldn't touch the plate. The ball wasn't there yet when Javy had to go around.

Eventually, one of these bullshit plays is going to happen in post season and they'll have to revisit the rule

I want to understand the whole "ball was taking him that way" angle but how early is too early? As soon as the ball leaves the outfielders hand, are you allowed to say "the ball started going that way and then tailed back to the first base side"

Too many judgement calls. But Javier Baez was not able to see the plate from the moment he was 20-30 feet away. The only angle was to go 5+ feet to the right of the plate...in any other situation he would have been called out for going out of the basepaths. It is stupid.

The catcher can go get the ball but if he blocks the plate doing it the runner can wipe him out.

wow why was he out there? I thought the catcher can't block the path to the plate now because of the buster posey rule.

This is why it's so dumb. A guy is supposed to make a spilt second decision running full speed on whether to rail the catcher or avoid him based on a difference of a foot.

Happ to Happ....that was weird. Almost as weird as Ynoa pitching to Ynoa or G Soto pitching to catcher G Soto

With the way Jake is pitching, and with Lester falling apart, Cubs are gonna have to pay up this offseason

Even better was Scott Servais pitching to Scott Servais.

Damn Miggy, I can't believe J.A. Happ is rawdogging you like that, letting Rizzo steal. Totally not any fault of yours though!

Does CSN need to show the Cubs catcher's signs for the whole world to see?

I like the passion of the rookie Cubs catcher after that K.

Wasn't Mad Men like 10 years ago?

0-2 on the last 2 hitters and they both get hits to make it a 1 run game.

Another solid showing by the defending champs. They get a team down and just put their foot on their throats.
