When Bosio came out to visit after Rondon's back-to-back-to-back, JD told the story of teammate Mark Portugal, who had done the same in the late innings of a blowout. When the pitching coach came out, Portugal wisecracked, "you're kinda late, aren't you?" The coach responded, "I didn't come out to talk to you...I just wanted to give them time to reset the fireworks."

I want to see what Carasiti has. He is off the DL and Iowa is bad and not making the playoffs and they have like 9 games left. He is on the 40 man so lets get Rondon to the DL and get him up.

Too bad Rondon has gone backwards again. About a month ago he seemed to have things going in a positive direction and his velocity is still real good, but not enough movement on the pitches. Can't be a part of the core bullpen guys Maddon will depend on in the playoffs. Really, might not make sense to even have him on the playoff roster. Schwarber looks like the Schwarber of 2015 again. Not quite the World Series Schwarber, but a good version once again. Division lead 3.5 games now.....Hell yeah!

It aint the six minutes. Its what happens in those six minutes.

That relay throw was huge. Not only prevents the tying run from scoring, but took the wind out of their sails too. Rather than having the go ahead run at 2nd, they were still behind and with Jake on the mound, the chances of the guy on scoring with 1 out is considerably lower than if there were no outs. Huge play.
