If what you guys are saying is true (and I don't doubt that it is), does Schwarber make the playoff roster?

He'll be riding the pine quite a bit if they end up meeting the Dodgers.

Can't do it. He's the new Mr. October.

Yes, even with the Dodgers lefties, still far more RHP than LHP

Yeah. I mean he's striking out close to 40% of the time since he was called back up. Even in September it's still more than 1/3 I think. But he will make the roster and play. He won't start though vs lefties.

There is another guy who has been instrumental in every playoff series win going back to 2015 including highlight reel defense, steals of home, game winning hits twice against the Giants, and a forgotten Home Run that knocked Corey Kluber out of Game 7.

Plus I have concerns about Schwarber's power.

Schwarber makes the playoff roster. There really is no "cruntch" or tough decision. You can even keep TLS and Schwarber.

If I had my druthers, I would take a chance on Maples(instead), who is just electric, but it seems like he's not going to get in Maddon's "Ciricle", no matter what he does.

You really are scrapping the bottom for that 8th spot..unless Lackey swallows his pride and takes a pen role?

Now that I think about it, it wouldn't surprise me to see Lackey in the pen. I mean it's the fucking playoffs..you would have to be a real burrito to say no to a pen role in the postseason.

What is this we shit, Tonto?

The way this prick talks you would think he is Roger Clemens. Just STFU and do your job.

I know he's had a good 2nd half but he is annoying as hell.

It was an amusing post game interview rant. Maddon pretty much backed up his assumptions 100%. I am guessing he is on the final roster, and won't sniff a start, but may get action if a series tightens up and something bad happens to a key starter or reliever.

I think he's clearly not sure of himself coming out of the bullpen.

But overall, he's really annoying.

He always sucks in the first inning. I'm not sure about him out of the pen.

He is as reliable as Quintana right now.

Probably Q because they traded Barry Bonds for him.

Rondon won't be on the NLDS roster given his elbow issues.

Lackey will be in there in case a starter gets blown out or a game goes into deep extra innings.

Lackey and Rocket gave up 1st inning postseason home runs to the historic 2005 White Sox.

No matter how you slice it, Javy is fucking amazing.

The opposing coach has to plan his steals not only around the battery, but around the guy laying the tags.
