That ball he hit out should not be hit out on that pitch. Clearly a cheater.

This lineup Maddon came up with is just ridiculous.

Amazing what Almora can do when he is allowed to play, which many of us were clamoring for last year

Weird game...Cubs pitchers have walked 8 batters but none have scored, ATL has only struck out only 1 Cub, and ATL is 1 for 14 with RISP. Yet the Cubs are down 6-4 in the 9th.

Lots of panic over Quintana. It seems a little too early to be on him this much. I'm far more worried about Yu Garbage.

Viewing from afar I would agree with you.

Agree. I liked Arrieta more from the get go. Even more after seeing the 2 deals that were signed. Cubs got fucked.

Theo bet on Darvish/Quintana/Almora as opposed to Verlander/Montgomery/misc #5 OF

I'm not sure he made the right decision. But Lester had a fucked-up first half of his first season, so I'm willing to let it play out a little more.

He also bet on Lester and not Scherzer (albeit more expensive), which looks like the wrong choice. At least with Darvish there is hope of a turnaround...with Heyward there is none.

Why lump Almora in there? He's been one of the most consistent Cubs this year when Joe's dumbass plays him.

I disagree on Lester being the wrong move. Let me see Scherzer win a big game for the Nationals.

I’m trying not to go revisionist history because no way would I have signed Jake for 6/200 or whatever the fuck crazy number he wanted was but what he did sign for and his big game resume , I don’t understand how you don’t go with the proven commodity over someone who there were already whispers about is soft when the heats on.

The reports were that Detroit was insisting on him in a Verlander trade.

For those not watching, an errant throw from home to 2nd ended up being a 7-2 putout at the plate seconds later. Nice.

Yu looking sharp.

Seems to be a low-scoring pitcher's affair (despite at least half a dozen strikes being called balls so far) ... I like that kind of game.
