He is probably your best bet to pitch hungover.....which they all better be after this.

Have to start someone who could possibly get you 6 innings. Have to go with Lackey. Hell, Madden might have to sacrifice game 1 and just make him pitch the entire game unless they have a chance to win.

They should start Lackey. He'll get you a W

That was awesome. But they have no bullpen and no chance to win a 7 game series.

Great run, though. It was fun.

Bullpen is fine. Joe will tweak it a bit. Rondon is back and Wilson is out. He can also have Lackey pitch once, get hurt and then go on the DL and steal an extra roster spot.

I would like to see Rondon back and use Strop more.

Then I will reconsider my opinion.

Throw Lackey 140 pitches in game 1.

In the 9th inning and it still would have been shorter than this game.

If the Dodgers start Kershaw, might as well sacrifice Lackey. If the Cubs somehow figure out how to hit good pitching and chase Kershaw, then maybe consider utilizing the bullpen to try and steal the game.

So assumng Lackey pitches game 1, who pitches game 2? Everyone would be on short rest.

Lester has game 2. He pitched the equivilant to a stressfull bullpen session yesterday. He can probably go game 1.

Q? This was probably like a side session. He threw 20 pitches.

I don't even think they need Lackey.

I have confidence in Lackey. He's playoff proven. He's a winner, 3 time Ws champ. He'll do well.

Id go with Lackey and live with the outcome, rest the pen and starters. Kershaw is a bum in the post season like Peyton Manning, may just win game one.

Big ballpark too, should cut down on his high home run rate.

I think Kershaw has a 25.00+ ERA in innings 7/+ in the postseason. Not to mention the dodgers love to lose a lot of games 2 and or 3's so that way they gotta rush him.nack on short rest, and I'd tender a guess that the guy is properly knackered after doing what he does ("best in the biz") in the regular season.

That said, yeah, I still call Kershaw "the best regular season pitcher in baseball* for a reason!

I mean, it's baseball so anything can happen, but yea Dodgers are all set up.

It would take a very bad performance by the Dodgers and a bunch of great ones by different Cubs.

Is the starters maintain an ERA under 1 thru the first 4 games like they did in the NLDS....maybe.

Can you please stop saying dumb stuff like this unless you're actually going to attempt to refute it? Thanks.

The bullpen will have 3 full days off in a week by Saturday. They should be fine.

Dodgers are expected to win. They have all the pressure. The Cubs have the talent to hang with anyone if they all show up on the same night.
