No. He just piled on a bunch of meaningless runs. They only needed 2 to finish off this shitshow offense.

Correct. I am a little irrational having watched every out of this series. Has me a little off-kilter.

Yanks/Dodgers would be awful. Two uninteresting, big market teams with a long history of success squaring off? No feel good story, no small market, nothing at all interesting about that series. I hope Houston and their beards win.

If the Dodgers are uninteresting to you then I don't think you really like baseball. They just bludgeoned the Cubs without their best player, the're absolutely loaded.

I am hoping for an Astros and Dodgers series. I think that would be the most interesting, but either way I am pulling for the Dodgers. If for nothing else so that the hangover will work on them next year and keep them out of the Cubs way.

They as an organization are uninteresting. I would have liked to have seen Stros/Nationals as far is interest. Dodgers/Stros would be fine by me. The yankees are what is going to ruin this WS.

Glad I was working during this shit show. First off, who the fuck is Enrique Hernandez? Rizzo and Bryant were absolutely shit in this playoff run for the most part. They both need to get their heads back into baseball. All the hitters need to look themselves in the mirror and learn to take their fucking walks. Theo and Jed traded away the last of the farm system for a guy that could only go 2 innings in the biggest game of his life, and a reliever who couldn't make the roster, not a good look. For their sake, I hope Zo helps them out and retires. Hopefully someone takes Heyward's bad money, but doubtful. Grimm and Rondon need to go asap. Monty and Edwards need to get their heads straight.

At least KB can get some rest now, such a rough live he lives. Thankfully, no hangover excuses next season.

Q had some great starts before tonight. I want him on my team going forward.

I think this was a "lets kinda throw the same team out there and see what happens" year. Most of the deals they made going into and during this year were irrelevant or with the future in mind. Q is a long term starter. Wilson is back next year and I would expect to be good. Soler....did he even fucking play this year? Avilla is really the only rental.

They are going to re-load this thing but I don't expect it to be until 2019 when Harper shows up. Next year will be alot like this year....and thats cool. I'll take a team that has won a playoff series for the 4th year in a row.

Dodgers are a decent team.

Tough series. Glad they avoided the sweep I guess.

I'm a huge Astros fan. If they win tonight they'll win the series but I have some doubt about them winning tonight. The Yankees are really not that good.

How can anyone who was a Cubs fan from 2003-2008 be a huge Astros fan?

Trying to understand City of Fools is like to trying to understand a hobo's diatribe on the New World Order.

He might be the sports star that comes out of the closet. He's in the right town. He clearly doesn't give a FUCK what anybody thinks of him.

The same way I'm a huge Bulls fan and a huge fan of the Trailblazers in the ninties.

When they play each other, I'm a Cubs fan. Other than that, I'm an Astros fan. All the way back to Nolan Ryan, Mike Scott, a current Cubs broadcaster, Alan Ashby, et al.

Not sure why this is such a hard thing to understand...no one else has two or three teams they really follow in a sport?!

You can't be a "huge fan" of 3 or more teams.

I mean, it is now an AL team that went through a rebuild very similar to the Cubs. I personally feel some like as a Cubs fan I can relate and I hope they have success.

What an amazing three year run:

barely above .500 in the playoffs
swept out of two rounds
swept no teams over the three years

Congratulations on a pedestrian string based largely in the difficulties of the opponents rather than any affirmative greatness.

The 2016 team faced way tougher opponents than the 2005 team.

But it doesn't matter. A World Series is a World Series.
