Even though it took 7 games, even thought their starting pitchers were hurt, even though they were missing Michael Brantley, even though they dropped an easy fly ball in Game 6, you should be proud that the Cubs were gifted a World Series title.

Try as you may Frank you cannot take it away
Not taking anything away. The Cubs had some luck and beat a depleted team.

The same things can be found for every team that has ever won a championship.

The Indians were good enough to win the AL ( in dominating fashion) then depleted when they played the Cubs.

Um no they lost both Carrasco and Salazar before the playoffs started and still won the ALCS..sure it helped the Cubs but you act like they had all these players and LOST them right before the Cubs series.

Rogue was being sarcastic. Some Cubfan on Cubfan crime there.

Carrasco was a legit loss. Salazar came back and Brantley is hurt more than he plays. He had nothing to do with that team.

So far, "the best team in baseball" Indians lost a World Series to the Chicago National League Ball Club, LLC in 2016 and then got beat in the first round by one of the AL Wild Card teams in 2017.

Sounds like the AL is just a bunch of average teams, outside of the Astros, a former National League team with their two best players coming from their NL days.

And this Astros team is legit too..not the 89 win 2005 Astros that fluked their way into a World Series appearance.

Yea, Cardinals would have given the White Sox a better series. Maybe even beat them.
