I don't know where they got the cash, but they have really beefed up an already good ball club. I'm surprised they haven't scooped up Arietta and Lance Lynn!

Lorenzo Cain

I don't really give a fuck who wins the Central this year 'cause the Cardinals are finishing 3rd regardless. I envy both teams and their fans to have another competitive season to look forward to.

I hope they ditch these stupid new uniforms and return to the old pinstripes and mb.

It also sucks that the person in the chalet doesn't slide into a big beer stein anymore. It may not be child friendly but the team is the brewers.

Bernie Brewers chalet is now inside Lakefront Brewery...worth a tour if you’ve never been.

The Indians didn't win the World Series in this one. In fact, they were swept by the White Sox.

Maybe one day you will know what it's like to have your team sweep an opponent in a postseason series.

I do not fear the Brewers....yet. But both OF they got last week are really good. Add them to the cheater and the OF is really good offensively.

Rumors of them being "in" on TWO of the big starters out there. I'd be concerned of they land 2 of them.

I hope you mean the baseball glove mb logo, which is just a work of art. The art designer who developed that should be in the MLB hall of fame.

The Cardinals are more of a worry than the Brewers.

Meh, people barely remember the '05 WS it was so boring. We will be talking about the 2016 series for generations.

eh.... the outfield is pretty good. The infield is still pretty bad outside of 3B and the rotation is just bad. They are still a .500ish squad with a chance to grab a wildcard if things go right.

OMG you're dead wrong. They won't have their top 2 stoppers in Oh and Rosenthal. They gave up on Grichuk and Piscotti. Molina is a year older and Carpenter is a head case (still) and sucks at fielding and base running.

And the number one reason we'll suck: Matheny is a total fucking bozo and blows massive elephant cock.

We will see. They are still the Cardinals.

Cardinal arguably still have a better outfield, and a much better rotation and infield. Get your head out of your ass Bull Man

Maybe. Until that day i still don't give one single fuck if a series took 4 5 6 or 7 games. Not one fuck.

I would consider your thoughts/posts more seriously if your assessment of your own team (presumably) wasn't so laughable. Oh got figured out by the league (lay off the outside slider) and was launched, no other MLB team desired him and he is back in Asia. Rosenthal was broken mentally (and injured) and non-tendered. You do realize waiver-wire pickup Juan Nicasio was closing games by the end of last season, or do you not watch the games? Grichuk will intoxicate talent evaluators because of his tools, but he has zero plate discipline. With the acquisition of M. Ozuna, there was no place for him, and there was a potential high-leverage reliever in return to add to your cadre of precious "stoppers" (whatever the hell that means). Piscotty was clearly bothered by his mother's illness in Northern California, and if anything, they did a classy (there's that word again) thing by shipping him out there to be close to home and play for his boyhood team. Carpenter is intense, but I wouldn't describe him as a head case. He has one elite skill-- and that's arguably the most important offensive skill-- getting on base. There isn't a team in MLB that wouldn't employ him.

Matheny sucks... ok. That's a well known thing and illustrative of how little managers matter.

Yelich is a good, not great player... the thing that makes him coveted is his youth and contract. On the field... he is not a franchise-making player. Fine. As for Cain.... signing a 30-something yr old speed/defense centerfielder, who displaces another much younger player making the minimum (who has the same skillset, BTW, and maybe some upside), on a rather hefty contract... has the potential to get pretty bad quickly. Maybe a 1 WAR upgrade there... not moving the needle that much.

How much better is the Brewer outfield than the Cub outfield? The Cubs just signed Peter Bourjos. Schwarber, Bourjos, and Heyward doesn't exactly sound like a championship outfield, does it?

I'll still take Fowler, Pham and Ozuna over any combination of Cub and Brewer OF.

STLBM is a disgrace to fandom. He might as well go root for the Marlins or something.

Schwarber may hit more home runs than their entire outfield.
