Cubs should get Vogelbach. I don't know what Mariners would be looking for but the Cubs could use a new DH option.

Montgomery gave them a lot of flexibility with their rotation, he was a key part of the 2016 team including throwing the last pitch, and they sent him to a place to start when he was about to become too expensive.

Vogelbach cannot hit lefties at all, cannot play the outfield, and would be a waste on a 25 man roster the last three years. You can find guys like him all over the scrap heap. Logan Morrison just got released by the Brewers a few days ago.

If you are going to impress with your intrepid Cubs knowledge, go research why the Cubs traded Bill Madlock for a decrepit Bobby Murder (RIP). Or explain Willie Hernandez.
