Technically, their ERA is still close (C 4.54 A 5.01), but Cease is 9-6 with a 1.6 WAR this season while Alzolay owns 13 losses in 21 starts with a -0.1 WAR.

Cease is a different pitcher than last year. Let's go with the 4.04 ERA. He can now get out of jams. I have a huge problem with how Texas is handling Dunning. They are determined to stunt his growth by holding him to 5 innings a start. For fucksake, he's 26 years old. Let the guy pitch.

I think I'd rather have him take long outings and shut him down early than make more short starts, if inning management is the issue.

Why does anyone on this board feel compelled to post predictions? The prediction is either going to be something obvious for which you will not get credit (the Dodgers should make the playoffs this year, first round quarterback X is not Aaron Rodgers, etc.) or something that's going to blow up in your face.
