They tried to keep Rizzo. That being said, it is a net positive that all the stars are gone- Schwarbs, Bryant, Baez, Rizzo, and Contreras. None have lived up to their contracts with Rizzo a possible exception.

In the context of giving Ian fucking Happ three years at 20 million per, the two years at 17 and then the additional two years at 20 the Yankees gave Rizzo certainly wouldve been justifiable for the production

When they outlawed the shift, my thought was they should call it The Rizzo Rule. +63 on his OPS this year. So now I hate him. What a gift for power lefties.
