so I'm watching my first game today with him.

Dude looks totally different than I thought.

I thought he was a brown haired dude and even fatter, a litte more manly looking facially.

Instead, what I see a nerdy smiley fat dude with big-ass glasses, the looks much younger facially, looks like one of those guys that got made fun of in school when he was a kid. Orange hair, looks like a Wisconsinite or some shit.

Overall though I think he is good. Very calm play-by-play.

But a better/deeper voice than Kasper.

It's not that there's tension or anything, but it kinda seems to me that JD had better chemistry with Len.

Of course, give it time, let's see how it evolves.

Ive changed my opinion on Boog. I am starting to like him more and more this year as it seems he's more comfortable in the booth.

He's developed a good rapport with JD and doesn't seem to be so national as he was the first year. JD seems also to have accepted him.

I hope they don't bring Dempster back in the booth this season.

Bernstein and Larry praised him for it.

I hear a lot of people claiming to be marginalized yet it's only the innate and immutable characteristics that I have that can be used as a slur without fear of reprisal. Some people melt down when they hear certain words but I guess I'm a snowflake for pointing that out.

You would think bernstein and Spiegel, who are old white men, and Parkins, who is a soon-to-be old white man would know better than to engage in the kind of rhetoric that contributes to their own persecution. And all three of them are Jewish which places them in a category that likely makes them even more reviled. Socially acceptable bigotry is bigotry nonetheless.

I think Sciambi is a great guest when he's on with Parkins and Spiegel...he's just not really doing it for me in the booth. But I'd still take him any day over Benetti.

Boog on with P & S said the thought of Justin Steele having to need a 2nd TJ surgery never has entered his mind. Must be part of the ultra positive fake Marquee playbook he's adhering to lyng through his teeth. Actually brilliant strategy you never have to discuss anything of importance. Deny, deny, deny. He was probably cussing up a storm off-mic at Grandpa when details emerged. Even did a signature P & S tantrum ironically thrown back at them for bringing up the subject. Classic radio so bad it's good.

I noticed Jim and Boog seem to be having more fun while the team is winning.

Earlier in the year Jim was like fuck off when Boog would bring up some Anime shit just to take the topic off a losing team.

But now Jim is really having a lot of fun with Boog.

when Girardi is on he always asks Boog 'when you played'. Is he insulting Boog every time he says this? Boog never played anywhere but little league. And Girardi gets into arguments with Boog on analytics.

It seems like Girardi referring to Boog playing is a way to get back at him for his heavy analytics side.

Unprofessional by Girardi and it does not come across well on tv.

I've come to the conclusion that Boog is acceptable when the team is doing good. He sticks to talking baseball.

When the team sucks he is unlistenable. I know he has to keep the audience interested but he picks all the wrong topics to talk about. Anime, whats your favorite fruits, or some analytics bullshit that nobody understands. Way over the top for your average viewer. you can tell JD is like just shut the fuck up.

Boog should take note from the Giants or Mets broadcasters who give us interesting baseball stories in blowout games to keep the auidence still interested and tuned in. Those two booths have ex MLB players so it may be harder for Boog but he should play off JD more. When the team is winning he does play off JD more and it's pretty good. Like the other night, they went to Taylor McGregor and there was a technical difficulty and Boog and JD made a joke that she quit the team. It was a good chuckle. They need to do more of that.

I'm sure a guy with an engineering degree from northwestern has no ability to discern the highly complex science of "advanced" statistics in baseball.

Girardi is more capable than that douche in every facet of life, including announcing

When you are a fat guy whose going to use the nickname Boog professionally, you should have a personality and style like the great broadcasters of old. Instead, he sounds like every other jerkoff with a communications degree.
