I'm not sure recency is all that important.

Last season I posted a fair amount in the sox section but a close look would see I was rooting strongly for them, much as I am this year. Funny what win total wagers will do to a man.

My decision a long time ago was I would never crap on someone's fandom. Let them enjoy their happiness. Made my life a lot more pleasant and allowed me to by happy (kinda) for friends when their teams do well.

Except packer's and Illini fans. And fuck the Cardinals but beyond that.. I try to remain at worst neutral.

I despise all Boston/New England fans. I laugh, though, when I hear people say that Boston fans rank among the "most intelligent" in the sports world. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Corey Patterson actually wasn't horrible. He just wasn't as good as everybody thought he'd be.

He made like $20 million and played for a while. Stole a lot of bases and hit for some power.

But, now I finally know what the Waiting for Ruffcorn thing means.

Earl Cunnigham and Ty Griffen are going to be HUGE.. Either one may actually be huge today I suppose.

They never got far enough along though to reach the high hopes of being contributors shortly... unlike Gary Scott and Kevin Orie.

I think Patterson looked like he had figured it out before the injury. Like so many other young sports figures, he was never the same after that.
