Holy Christ, down 14-4 in the 4th.

We are going to see the smallest crowds at Wrigley in decades for the rest of the year.

We just did Rooting To Lose seven years ago and it doesn't feel like that long ago.

2 hours 15 minutes in (8:15 PM) , the game was only in the bottom of the 3rd.

Now 3hr 45 min in, it's still only the bottom of the 7th.

Unbelievable.

Pat Hughes just made the biggest mistake of his career:

Schwarber came back to Boston tonight, was 0-2 with 2 Runs scored.

Pat said he is starting a rehab assignment today and would be back in 3 or 4 days. Dempster simply agreed with him.

Big gaffe.

I hate Azolay and Davies.

They shoulda been gone before Arrieta.

Azolay is garbage.

I was waiting for this to happen!:

10 minutes after the gaffe, Demp made the correction.

No doubt somebody read my post and it got back to the booth.

We definitely have some insiders here reading the boards.

I had almost forgotten how sorry this franchise was from 2010 through 2014. Five straight years in 5th place. I don't think I can take The Plan Part Deux.

Have the Cubs ever had two separate 10+ game losing streaks in a season?

I was wondering what the UKG was on the mound. Radical left-wing group? Just a tech company.

It's just dumb. It's overplanning.

We rebuild just so we can have a good team for 3 years and then we start bitching about who's gotta go. Whats the point of rebuilding when u always wanna tear it down?

This rebuild is about Theo making too many bad drafts, trades, free agent signings, hanging on to guys too long.

The "J-Hey Kid" will be back soon. The 184 milliin dollar "Mother Teresa" of baseball will have a huge impact with his leadership. Dont be surprised if the intentional losing is derailed by his greeting and making the new guys feel comfortable. His influence could turn this into a winning team the rest of the year and screw up hopes of a high draft choice.

On Thursday's interview with Happ, Bernstein and Rahimi were fawning over Heyward's body again, and then DB said Louis Robert's body is "just absolutely dreamy to look at."

Why are you guys still watching the Cubs? Is it just because you like baseball? Watching the Cubs is familiar and comfortable? Is it funbad? Which players might actually be on their next contending team that you are watching?

I remember a couple years ago when I still had cable and watched every Hawks game. The team lost Crawford and they were awful but I kept watching because that is what I had done for nearly a decade. When I got to the playoffs and started watching good teams I realized how much time I wasted watching bad hockey. I said I would never do that again and I haven't. Granted, baseball doesn't have the intensity and pace of hockey so it's not a completely apt comparison but there's still gotta be a better baseball game to watch than the Cubs. Hell, watch the Sox.
