The reality is the Sux have nothing left in the farm system so they should be maxing out this FA period for their 2 year window...but the cuck fanbase they are will just say that's ok, Hahn is playing it smart as their owner refuses again to spend money

Why would anyone possibly do that unless they were an idiot indoctrinated by nonsense from goofs like Joe Sheehan?

How could he possibly be better than average if some other guy is better than he is half the time he takes the mound. That is the actual definition of "average."

How could possibly the Sox get their ass beat in the post season AGAIN!, and not try and upgrade their roster? You're just mad they weren't in on this

What’s it feel like to only have Caller Bob to argue meatball fandom rivalry with?

Levine was nauseating this morning, saying Stroman throws "97" (not even close) and will be the ace next to Hendricks.

I also love the headline "Cubs sign top available free-agent pitcher." Yeah, top available after the first 6 or so were already taken.

3/71 is a great deal for Stroman in this market.

Maybe, but that says more about the market than Stroman. One 8th place finish in Cy Young in his career and one All-star appearance. Sorry if I expect more from an ace.

Id rather they take flyers on young prospects who they can determine will be any good once the team is good again. We know what Stroman is.

That deal is pretty good for this team. They need depth at SP and a 3-year deal for this price is fine. He definitely improves the rotation and I love that he is a ground ball pitcher. He has some upside if he can stay healthy.

It's not a long deal, but there will be better clearance aisle options. I would love to get a lockdown #1 starter, but I have no interest in paying $50M a year for anyone.
