Heyward is only 32 (33 in August) washed up, and being hidden by Ross. He's on pace for 300 ab and a measly 20 rbi.

The strategy of pinch hitting early for Heyward mid-game is interesting. Mully I believe tried to pass it off as a new trend in MLB as an excuse. Ross says it's matchup data driven. But, does Heyward ever have outstandingly positive matchup data against anybody he faces? Think the real strategy is this will limit him to 300 at bats and might fight off another epically low slash line. But his rbi total will be even lower than last year's 30. Fun stuff for sure.
